Good Morning! Well today promises to be another hot one here in the Grand Valley as the dog days of summer just keep rolling along!

Todays post pretty much explains itself. In my opinion these woman are way too funny. Hope you agree! The artist has a terrific sense of humor. You can see the entire line on Addicted to Rubberstamps website. Judy and I swear we are going to get together and stamp calender toppers with them. Sounds like fun to me, just gotta do it!

Good morning to all! Today promises to be another hot summer day in The Grand Valley! Summertime isn't it wonderful!

Today's post is for my baby sister, Jacqualine, many of you know her for her artistic talents, but she has many, many more. She is a gift from God and I am so proud of her! She & Lizzy just got home from going on a mission with Lizzy's youth group at church (john3:16msssion.org) they were a part of VBS for homeless children in the inner city of Tulsa, OK. When I grow up I want to be just like my Sister!!! What a blessing she is to our family and community! We can make a difference!

Good morning to all. And thank you for stopping by, this is great fun for me and it keeps me stamping!

I see on GMA that CA is still on fire, this time within 30 mi of Yosemite. First I have heard of it. And we are headed for some more warm weather. We have been in the 90's for 45 days straight. Now is a good time to stay indoors under the cooler and stamp! As for me it is off to the office. But I did have 3 days off so can't complain, there are those out there working 10-14 hrs a day and no days off!

Last week I promised more of those zany Emerson Girls and this stamp seemed fitting for this time of year. I know for one that it scared the begeezes out of me when I was shopping for bathing suits this year. Have not been able to get my head into regular exercise since I got back from SPI. Need to do that!

DH reminds me that after all I am 50, those men they sure do know how to encourage us lol!

Paradise

Good moring! Sure is a beautiful morning here in River City! Sure did enjoy the rain last night. I was told it came from Hurricane Dolly.

This stamp set is from CTMH and fits well in my collection, as many of you know I enjoy spending my leisure time relaxing and playing around water. I love to vacation at the beach whenever I can. SPI came to my mind while making this card, my way of paying homage to the residents of the island. I plan to use these stamps to scrapbook all the memories of my recent vacation there. My girlfriends and I have decided that our next trip will be to visit the beach on the east coast, probably either North or South Carolina.

Funky flower

Yup, you guessed it getting another late start today! But I am devoting most of the day to make some new cards.

This is the first one I have come up with so far. I copied the layout from none other than Becky. I believe she came up with it from last month's card class. The flower stamp is from CTMH the paper is from Basic Grey and the greeting from Hot off the Press.

Gotta get back to the drawing board and come up with cards to post this week and perhaps even a scrapbook page or two. One never knows!

Good afternoon! Obviously I am getting a late start. Took day off from work, only to "work" around the house. lol

This is another "old" card dug out of the archives. Most of you have already seen it, I may have shared it at Shoebox. I made this for my neice's birthday a few years ago. The idea came right out of the Hero Art catalog/idea book. I added the jewel brads and used Lizzy's favorite colors.

Was invited to a BBQ tonight, guess I will bring cole slaw. Need to go to store, so better get going.

Good Morning! Going to be another warm day here in Western Colorado! Summertime isn't it great! Wish I could be lounging around a pool today, but instead must head for the office and lounge around my desk instead.

Even though pink & brown color combo has been around for a while It is still one of my favorites!

Good morning to all! Another sultry day expected in the Grand Valley, just heard on news the humidity is at 65% and the expected high is 96. Don't know about the rest of you but my swamp cooler just does not work in those conditions. It sure effects my paper as well. Oh well the dog days of summer will be gone before we know it so may as well make the best of it!

How about Hurricane Dolly! Hope it did not damage the townhouse we rented. It was located on the Gulf side of the island. Looks as though we picked a good time to go. Just after spring break and just before the tourist and hurricane season!

This is a card I dug out of my archives, gotta get some stamping done my next days off! The flower stamp is from Endless Creations and the words from Hero Arts. To me this is a timeless layout and very simple to use with many elements!

Neice's friend came through surgery yesterday just fine. Surgeon said the worst shoulder injury he had seen. When he got in, he found only "pieces". I can only imagine. From what I understand he had to replace the socket and reconstruct shoulder. Wonder if a helmet would have saved her life. Have not heard what the actual cause of death was. He suffered a skull fracture and I know a helmet would have prevented that. Oh well we all have choices and to each his own. I am not for a helmet law in CO, I believe we all should have the right to choose, and I choose to all ways wear a helmet, and a full face one at that.

Sunflower Facts

Getting a late start this morning. Stayed up till wee hours of the morning comforting a grieving friend.

My inspiration for this card came out of a line of paper Becky had in her store. The background stamp was from Paper Inspiration and the sunflower stamp from Art Gone Wild. Borrowed the definition stamp from my friend Judy.

Have a feeling it is going to be another sultry, mugggy day here in River City. Oh well I will be in an air conditioned office pushing papers lol. Goes without saying would much rather be home with paper and ink.

Had a real good time at card class last night, Becky came up with some awesome cards. Got alot of terrific ideas for upcoming posts. So keep a look out!

Good Morning!

Sure is a beautiful morning here in Western Colorado. Too bad have to work today! Oh well gotta support this habit (stamping, that is)! Of course I suppose I could have worse habits, right girls lol!

This is a layout I copied from Becky (look familiar) I, too copy alot! Stamp is from American Art Stamps, the Emerson Girls collection, of which I just love! They know just what to say and how to say it! I will get some more made as soon as time permits. Have had a quite a bit of company as of late.

sweeping this country, this stamp from Just for Fun was just the thing to inspire me to create this card! Found these cute mini cards, eyelets, & cube stamp at Becky's store (sure do miss that store) and away I went to come up with it, hope you enjoy!
