Holly

Good evening! Thank you for stopping by.

This is a layout we did in one of Becky's card classes. The holly stamp is popped up. Other than that pretty simple. A great way to use up scrap paper. This is a line of paper Becky had last year.

Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your evening!

Happy Holidays

Good morning! The sun is shining through my window and it feels wonderful! Looking forward to another "balmy" late fall day. These tempuratures have been very pleasant. Heard Powderhorn is not doing so hot, need more snow badly!

This is a very simple, easy card the stamped image is punched and popped up.

Gotta get a move on. Lots to do. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Penguin Santa

Good morning! This weather we have been having is wonderful! I am liking the above average temperatures!

Don't think my Penguin Santa would be very comfortable with these tempuratures! The idea for this card came from Hero Arts. They used an owl for their sample. The CS is from CTMH and the striped piece is from Michaels. The ribbon from Becky. I used the SU border scallop and a scalloped punch from Marvy, the penguin is popped up. And I used a corner punch for some accents. I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a super Saturday!

Holiday Blessings

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by.

This is a layout from one of Becky's classes. I made it last night and this morning I am not as happy with the color combo. I think it would look better with white than mauve, oh well I hope you get the idea.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day.

The reason for the Season

Good morning! The sun is shining and the sky is blue. What more could we ask for!
This is one of my favorite layouts from Becky's card class. I use it alot for quick & easy cards. A great way to us background paper. This paper is from Heidi Grace. Got it from Becky. The sentiment is from Stampiblities. I got it a couple of weeks ago when Hobby Lobby had a 1/2 off sale! Was the first time I had been there in months and just happened to stumble across it. Yippee!
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

From Colorado

Good Morning! Thank you for stopping by.

Did you see the moon and stars last evening about 6:30 p.m. I think it was Pluto and Venus, don't quote me on this, if any of you know for sure let me know.

This is a stamp from Creative Impressions. I popped up the sentiment, and other than that I think the picture exlpains the rest.

Thank you again for stopping by. And I hope you will stop by again tomorrow. Have a marvelous Monday.

It's your day

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by. Whew, can't believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow! And my nephew Shane's birthday as well. He is turning 21! He is Jacqualine's middle child, many of you probably remember him hanging out at the stamp store with us, seems like yesterday and in reality it has been 6 years since I closed it!!! I will always be greatful to all of you that supported us and have become such good friends! Back to Shane, he has turned out to be a fine young man, we are very proud of him. He is nearly 7ft tall, 6'11 to be exact. He is working in construction, can't recall the name of company, but he seems to like it for the time being. He did a year of Jr College in Rangely, played some basketball, did not work out like he had hoped, so he moved on to the real world, no plans for marraige (thank goodness), still living at home. But he is a big help to his parents and my parents as well.

Remember this paper from Sweetwater? I came up with this idea when I stumbled across it. The stamp is from Obsession Impression. Think I may just give it to Shane, tomorrow.

Thanks again for stopping by and for those of you traveling I wish you a safe journey. And for the rest of you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Day

Good morning! Sure have been enjoying this weather we are having! Don't want it to end!

I got the idea for this off the Hero Arts website. Changed the stamps and the colors. I used BG paper from Hiedi Grace. Sahara Sand, Blush Blossom, & Groovy Guava. I Stamped the leaf with Always Artichoke from SU. The leaf is cut out and popped up as well as the rectangle piece it is glued on. I like the way it turned out, one difference I would make is to mat the rectangle piece in black instead of cream.

Thank you for stopping by and have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning! Wow, this weather has been awesome! Weatherman promises a day much like yesterday, yippee!

Pretty bazarr colors if you ask me, but I was inspired by these brads from Bo Bunny. Not one of my favorites, but I am determined to use these brads. The stamp is from Hero Arts.

Gotta go load the stuff for Homeless shelter. It is our night to volunteer.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Enjoy Life

Good Monday morning to all! Sorry I have not posted for a few days.

This ribbon from American Art Crafts was my inspiration for the color scheme of this card. I used SU Taken With Teal and Real Red CS. I used a diamond background stamp on the teal piece and a linen bg stamp on the real red. The Enjoy Life stamp is from Obsession Impression Stamps.

Well for most of you this is the beginning of your work week. I have one more day before mine begins. I have to make a Sam's Club run this morning (yuk!). Then I have to get some more cards done for Lizzy's fund raiser, being held this coming Sun. at her church. I think I shared with you all that she is going to Washington D.C. in Jan to attend the Presidential Inauguration! She is very excited and grateful to be able to go!

Enjoy your day and like the card says enjoy life. Thank you for stopping by!

Friend

Good morning! Sure did get cold last night. My thermometer is reading 24 degrees at this very moment. Brrr. And there is frost on the grass outside. But at least the sun is shining!

The colors I chose were inspired by this ribbon from Becky's store. I used SU Vintage Violet and Creamy Caramel. The stamps are from Hero Arts and I used a punch for the parenthesis. I used the SU punch for the border (can't Hmm of the name).

Well better go get ready for work. TGIF for most of you, but as you know I have one more day of it. Oh well I am thankful I have a job to go to! Have a fantastic Friday and I hope you are able to share it with a friend! We are going out to dinner with some friends tonight. They just moved back here from CA. Shhh . Dwight and Harry have been friends since the 2nd grade! He moved to California in the 80's and met his wife there, Terry is her name and you all will be meeting her as she enjoys stamping as well.

Got some more stamping done last night. Was inspired by the 2007 SU catalog for this one. Love that Color Combination link on Deb's blog. Good Morning and thank you for stopping by! Today is the beginning of my work week. Lafe is on vacation so my brother-in-law, Kevin is stepping in to help.

This is a layout from either Deb or Kim can't remember which Hmm. Oh well is one of my favorites. The paper is from Cosmos Crickets I think and the stamp from SU as well as the punches. I had fun revisting the stamp and paper! Hope it inspires you to do the same!

Well better get a move on, need to be to work as early as possible! Enjoy your day and thanks again for stopping by!

Thanks

Good Monday morning to all!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the new week ahead!

Did get some stamping done yesterday evening and this is one that I came up with. I was having fits coming up with an ink to match this paper, Encore Teal was the best I could come up with. The paper is from My Minds Eye and the stamp from Hero Arts.

Well better get back to the stamping board to come up with more posts. Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by.

Oh, and one more thing, sorry I have had nothing to post the past few days!

Good morning and a cold one at that! Wish I could just stay indoors and hibernate. In my next life, think I want to be a bear! Winky 2
Did you see the snow on the Mesa! Yippee for Powderhorn and those selling snowmobiles!
Yup, you guessed it, that is what inspired me to put this together, very quick & easy a take "two" card! This is a line of paper from Heidi Grace, have had it for years! No stamping on this one! Done on the fly!

Faith*Love*Hope

Good morning! Looks a though "Old Man Winter" is trying to make an early appearance! lol.
All kidding aside we need the snowfall badly. So I am thankful. (Hope it stays in the High Country). Did enjoy the rain we had last night. Went to scrapbook class at Becky's last evening. I enjoy the girls in this class so much! Thanks gals for a rip roaring good time!

Well I was inspired by this ribbon from Bo Bunny, that I have had for a very long time. The CS colors are SU, Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy, & Apricot Appeal. Would never had put them together if it weren't for this ribbon. Hope this inspires you to try something very different as well.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!

Play, focus, compete, practice, win

Good afternoon and thank you for stopping by! It sure is a beautiful day here in River City!
I was inspired by the World Series to make this card. Wish I would not have stamped the three bats & balls really did not like the way that turned out but otherwise am happy with it. Was not about to redo it either. The batter, & bats are from SU Take me out to the Ballgame set. I used some old Basic Gray paper, the argyle stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and the PFCPW stamp is from Technique Tues.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hb Wishes

Good evening, thank you for stopping by. Hope you all remembered the time change and to check your smoke detectors! (A friend reminded me).

This did not photograph well at all. The CS I used was Apricot Appeal?! Which matched the background paper from Heidi Grace. Oh well hope you get the idea.

Enjoy the rest of your evening, I am back to the stamping board!

Live Life

Good Morning! Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight. Am not looking forward to those long winter nights, guess I will look on the bright side. I will just get a head on my card making. Am going to try something new, my niece, Lizzy is trying to raise money for a missions trip, so Jacqualine is going to hold a bake sale at church. I am going to put together some cards to donate. Hope they will sell and help raise the money needed.

I like the message this little birdie says! This stamp comes from Autumn Leaves and the paper is from Heidi Grace. Very simple and quick! A take ten kinda card.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Halloween

Good morning and like the spider says Happy Halloween. The weather promises to be nice for the trick or treaters!

The stamps I used for this card are from CTMH and Hero Arts. The spider is cut out and popped up. I think the paper was some Becky had at her store. Acutally this is a card I made several years ago, dug it out of my stash.

Hard to believe it is the last day of the month! Gotta get those quarterly reports into the Gov't today. I know I should not wait till the last minute. lol. Oh well my software does a good job keeping track!

Thank you for stopping by and have a safe & funfilled Halloween!

Surprise! Surprise! I think I am getting back on track. Been having a stamping block.

This did not turn out exactly how I planned, not one of my favorites, but decided to share anyway. The paper is from Heidi Grace, I cut pieces to form the layout. The stamp is from Magenta and I punched the leaves and the corners, then added some glitter.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will again tomorrow!

Good Morning

Good morning! Yep, you guessed it, still nothing to post. I started feeling a little crumbie yesterday afternoon. Went to the After Hours Business meeting at Farmhouse Meats as promised, left early on account of not feeling that great. When I got home I changed into my jammies and vegged on the couch for a while then hit the hay early. Feel just fine this morning. Go figure, maybe I was just tired.

If you have not checked out Farmhouse Meats you really must, very nice store with meat cuts you can't find anywhere else in town. The quality of the items in this store are worth every cent!

Have a fantastic Friday and thank you for stopping by! TGIF for most of you I have one more day of it. Like I said yesterday, I have been working longer hours than usual.

Thursday, October 23, 2008

FYI

Just a quick note to let you know I am still around! Don't have anything new to post, however, I hope to get a bunch of stamping done in the next few days. Been working longer hours than normal and in my spare time been doing some Fall yard cleaning, burning weeds and such. Gotta get my priorities back in order! Big card making season approaching quickly! Any who thank you for your patience and keep checking back!

Am going to the Fruita Chamber After Hours Business Meeting. Farmhouse Meats is hosting the event and if you have not checked them out you should! They carry beef, chicken, lamb, seafood and alot more. They are located behind Fisher's Liquor Barn on F Road, north side of the mall.

Enjoy your evening!

Boo

Good Morning! Another beautiful one at that. Promises to be another Indian Summer day.

This is a simple and quick card, the stamps are from CTMH. Not much else to say.

Gotta get a move on. Thank you for stopping by and have a Fantastic Friday!

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Thanks

Good morning! Thought I would send you all a bouquet of flowers! Have not liked the cold snap we have had. Weatherman promises warmer days ahead and yesterday was nice I have to admit. Heard Loveland Basin opened yesterday! Wow, the seasons sure do come & go in a hurry!
The stamps I used for this card are from CTMH. I used Closed to Cocoa ink to stamp the vase, it is cut out & popped up. Same ink was used for the sprigs as well. These prima flower matched SU Bordering Blue CS and the patterned paper is some old stuff I dug out of my stash.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Wisper Love

Good morning! Surprise! Surprice! I did get a little stamping done. Whew! Have not been doing very well managing my time as of late!
This is an idea I got off Hero Arts online gallery. Very simple and quick. Good idea for stamping on the fly. The patterned paper and leaves are from CTMH and the stamp is from Hero Arts. I used raffia for the bow.
This is our night to cook at the Homeless Shelter. We are serving chilimac for the main course. Hope it goes over well. With the cold snap we have had, the numbers will probably be close to 100. We volunteer the third Wed of each month, if you would like to help out with the cost of food let me know. A big thanks goes out to Bob & Judy for donating the HB. And Teresa got her Bunco Gals to chip in for chili beans and macaroni. Helps out a lot! All the food is donated, the Shelter has a $400.00 a year budget for food, that is ridiculous to say the least!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will again tomorrow! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Live Laugh Love

Good morning, sorry about the image, I am having fits trying to get my lighting right, may have to read the manual. What a concept. lol.
At any rate hope you can make it out enough to be inspired. The stamps I used are from Hero Arts and believe it or not they are all wood mounted! I used SU Groovey Guava and the patterned paper is by Heidi Grace.
Went to a class at Becky's last night. It is the framed "Season's Welcome Sign". I loved it and it was good to be with friends I have not seen in a while. Great job Becky!
Have a fantastic Friday and thank you for stopping by.

Nature turns to Gold

Good morning and thanks for stopping by. Sorry I did not get anything posted yesterday, just another hectic Tuesday.

I stamped the oak leaf with Tsukineko's glue pad, then stippled with Perfect Pearls powder. Haven't used that technique for a while, I like the effect and it was fun to revisit. The rest I think is pretty well explains itself. The oak leaf is from Stampendous and the saying from Inkadinkadoo.

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you will again tomorrow. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Friendship

Good evening! Well my "stamping" juices have not been flowing the last few days. We got a Wii and I have been a little preoccupied playing with it. I had not a clue how much fun it is. Dwight & I have been bowling and playing tennis. I also got the Fit program.

This is a quick & simple card, the stamps are from CTMH and the paper is Heidi Grace.

Better get back to the stamping board, so I have something to post tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Nature

Good morning! So nice of you to stop by!
Was inspired by a post I saw on Splitcoaststampers website. The stamp is from the Nature's Wonders SU set. I used Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgandy CS also from SU. I outlined the layers with a gold leaf pen. I liked the way it turned out.
Gotta get some more stamping done or I won't have anything new to post for tomorrow.
Have a fantastic Friday!

all my love

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by.
Today's post is from the SU set Sweet & Simple. This is a very simple layout and quick to do.
The paper is from Heidi Grace. Got it at Becky's on Saturday.
Took the day off, only to work around the house. David & Rick are coming to town for some business and will be staying the night with us. Just found out yesterday and of course I was not prepared for company. Better get back to my list of chores. Would much rather be outside enjoying this weather we are having.
Enjoy the rest of your day! Hope you will stop by again tomorrow.

Good morning and what a beautiful one at that! I got a good night's sleep and I feel great!

Another card from the All Natural SU set. I sponged glossy CS then stamped the leaves in Always Artichoke and highlighted them with a white pen. The gratitude stamp is by Hero Arts. CS colors are SU More Mustard, and Always Artichoke. I was inspired by a post I saw on Splitcoaststampers.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happiness

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by. More sunshine and warm days are ahead for the next few days. I love these Indian Summer Days!
Did get some stamping done yesterday among other things. The message on this card goes out to each and everyone of you! These stamps are from Hero Arts. Have had them awhile, first time I have used them lol. Very simple and quick. Don't think an explaination is necessary.
Enjoy your day and I hope you will stop by again tomorrow.
